Story
The Montana Mining Association (MMA) is a Montana trade association dedicated to assisting mining companies, small miners and allied trade members succeed in Montana’s complex business and regulatory environment. The primary purpose of MMA is to protect and promote the mining industry in the state of Montana.

MMA monitors issues of concern and provides representation for its members at the state legislature and with various state and federal regulatory agencies. The MMA also supports national mining initiatives and provides education throughout the state.
2023- 50th Anniversary
The Montana Mining Association (MMA) celebrated its 50th Anniversary this past year! For the last half century, MMA has carried out its mission to promote and protect the responsible mining of Montana’s metals and mineral resources. Moning into the future our goal is to boost the membership of our organization and take a more active stance in educating the public about the importance of our industry in Montana and the significance mining plays in our state and local economy.
MMA Under New Management
Please note, we are under new executive management and our contact information has changed. As such, our website and association are undergoing significant improvements. We appreciate your patience as we work on these changes. We will be updating this site soon with more information about our 2024 annual meeting and other association developments and will have a whole new website completed in the coming months.
